Lana Del Rey performed during the second weekend of Coachella Music Festival on April 19 in Indio, California. Lana changed her intro song to ‘My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)’ by Neil Young. This may mark the first show since the release of ‘Born to Die’ that Lana has not sung ‘Video Games.’ The special guest for this show was Camila Cabello and they sung Camila’s new song ‘I Luv It.’

Lana Del Rey shared a post on Instagram giving thanks to those involved in her recent Coachella performance, but also criticised longtime tour manager Pete for quitting “for no reason after 15 years because he was butt hurt that I got 10 comped bikes for free from Wally and randomly decided he was more of a state designed than a tour manager.” She added that she is “still grateful for 15 years though,” but the ordeal was stressful so she was thankful to Emily for stepping in as tour manager. Lana will perform at Coachella again tomorrow, April 19, at 11:20PM PST / 7:20AM BST.

On April 12, Lana Del Rey performed at Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California. Her set opened with a prelude version of the unreleased track “Jealous Girl” while riding in on the back of a motorbike. Lana’s first song was “Without You,” a new introduction to her recent setlist. She was joined by Billie Eilish to sing “Video Games” and Billie’s song “Ocean Eyes,” in addition to Jon Batiste for “Candy Necklace” and Jack Antonoff for “hope is dangerous thing…,” in which Lana performed as a hologram in a callback reference to her 2012 performance on SNL (as is this Billboard that was put up prior to the performance).

The official Coachella livestream had some technical errors which made Lana’s mic seem quite, though people in attendance (with their videos to prove it) said Lana’s vocal were loud and clear, meaning the error may have been from the livestream trying to mute out sound from the audience. It does seem, however, that there still might have been some general mic issues. Lana seemed nervous, but performance and vocals became much better and louder as the show went on. Lana will perform at Coachella again on April 19.

Lana Del Rey will be headlining at Coachella this weekend. Her performance will begin at 11:20PM PST this Friday, April 12th. The festival’s curfew is at 1am, so Lana can perform until that time. Lana will be performing new songs and will be joined by multiple guests. This information comes from a fan who spoke to Lana’s manager, Ben Mawson, at a pop-up merch event in LA, and Lana has since confirmed these details. The official Coachella YouTube channel will be streaming the event here.

Lana has been heard soundchecking “West Coast,” “Jealous Girl,” “Without You,” and “Doin’ Time,” “Summertime Sadness,” and “‘Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd.” There are rumours she might perform with Billie Eilish, who was seen during soundcheck despite not having a scheduled performance of her own, and The Weeknd.

Lana first performed at Coachella in 2014, which was also the last time she did. She was booked for the 2020 edition of the festival, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Let’s hope Lana will be on time to her own set, because this sounds like it’s gonna be one to remember!
