Norwich Evening News did a positive review of Lana Del Rey performance at Latitude Festival. They said tha Lana’s music is simply unforgettable. Below you can read the full review.

There are some well-known names on the Latitude Festival bill this year but hidden alongside them is one of the year’s biggest – and most surprising – pop stars.

Lana Del Rey drew a vast crowd to the Word Arena on Friday night, with an adoring cluster of fans rammed against the very front, all eager to sing along to her haunting hits.

The 26-year-old, wearing what by now must be the whitest lace dress at the festival, held the audience in the palm of her hand, her beguiling and coy manner marking her out as a truly unusual performer.

Huge transatlantic hit Video Games received a rapturous reception, with many singing along to the bleak and sombre lyrics.

The stand-out tracks from her number one album Born To Die were wheeled out one by one, each accompanied by a video featuring retro home movies and quirky animation.

Blue Jeans, Summertime Madness and Born To Die were just a few of the tracks crammed into a set that was too short for many fans left wanting more time with their superstar, who enjoyed a lengthy walkabout along the front rows of the vast tent, embracing with many, including an overwhelmed teenage girl.

Del Rey’s music is melodramatic and soulful at times, but at its best simply unforgettable.

She may well be back to hold a higher slot on the Obelisk Arena line-up for Latitude Festival in future years – don’t bet against it.
